The SPS.30 uses contactless technology to recognise several easy to perform gestures. Examples of some of these are shown below:
WAVE GESTURES
Wave your hand over the scene plate such that your hand is within 5 cm of the scene plate. Up, down, left, and right gestures should cover the whole height or width of the scene plate.
For example, when waving from right to left, start to the right outside the frame of the scene plate and finish to left of the scene plate.
To prevent false triggering, fast actions are ignored; a wave speed of around half to a full second works well.
Your Scene Plate design may include icons to indicate at what the scene settings might be. For example, a full lightbulb icon would indicate the highest brightness setting and an empty icon indicates the lights off.
AIR WHEEL *
Using an extended finger, draw a circle in mid-air over the scene plate. Use the touch markers as a guide to how big a circle to draw. For best results, do this within 5cm of the scene plate with a rotational speed of between 1 and 4 rotations per second. Air wheel commands typically set to lighting dim up and down control.
Please note: If you stop performing an air wheel gesture you should then move your hand outside the area briefly, before attempting another air wheel gesture.
HOLD *
Hold an open hand over the scene plate and within 8cm for 2 seconds, this command is typically set to an ‘Off’ command. Upon performing a hold command all the scene indication Scene LED will turn off.
*Air wheel and Hold functions may be disabled.
TOUCH ACTIONS
Touch actions are supported. The touch areas are indicated by the “arcing wave patterns” on the face plate. Simply tap one of the patterns to trigger a touch action. Touch action typically perform the same action as the equivalent wave action, however this may differ depending on how your building lighting control scheme is designed.
Depending on the mode, a separate action might be triggered if the press is longer than 600ms and repeated every 500ms while held.
