Lighting Control Highlights

  • Floors feature a combination of both DALI luminaires served via DALI pluggable LCMs and DALI luminaires served via hardwired DALI LCMs

  • Apex Plaza was built on the site of the old station car park built in 1988, alongside the last major upgrade of Reading station
  • The building underwent a £6.5 million refurbishment in 2014
  • The refurbished 221,000 sq ft Grade A office building is arranged over four blocks and seven storeys. The community comes courtesy of the bright, large co-working space, cafés and retail space and a full-height atrium links all floors and floods every office with natural daylight
  • The building has often been used for film and TV purposes and once doubled up as a New York hotel
  • Reading’s unique business culture has seen it crowned number one tech hub in the country. In 2015, it retained its spot as the UK’s most successful economy while tech firms and start-ups across Reading and Bracknell have earned this area the nickname of the UK’s Silicon Valley
  • Apex is less than a minute’s walk to Reading train station via a private link bridge. The station offers fast connections, with travel to London’s Paddington in 25 minutes. Connections are only set to improve with the addition of the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) in 2019, which will take you to central London in 32 minutes
  • Reading is home to thirteen of the world’s top 30 brands, including Microsoft, Thales, Bayer, PepsiCo and Ernst & Young
